The Hornet footprint is not for waterproofness; NEMO floors already are
impenetrable to water. Rather it protects your tent floor when camping on
rough surfaces, adding longevity to your tent.

This NEMO footprint is an abrasion-resistant polyester tarp perfectly sized
to fit underneath your corresponding NEMO tent. Adding this layer of
durable, waterproof fabric reduces wear and tear on your tent floor, which
can be caused by camping on rough or rocky ground.
